Hi! I'm Macklen.
I’m a strong believer that every woman should lift heavy things. That’s why I specialize in weight lifting and mobility for women.
I was born and raised in a woodland area of Kansas City. I fell in love with fitness during graduate school while making durational performance art, video art and kinetic sculpture. I compressed my body into metal sculptures, held awkward body shapes while scaling walls, and flung myself at pillars for cold hugs. It was all quite weird and fun.
My focus then morphed into learning and teaching about the body. I started as a Yoga Teacher and eventually became a Personal Trainer.
I offer both in-person personal training sessions, and customized training programs you can do on your own time.

1. YOUR 8-WEEK CUSTOM TRAINING PROGRAM
Get a personal training program designed specifically for you. I build plans for clients who want to lose weight, get toned, gain muscle, and everything in between. Whatever your goal is, I have something for you.
Whether you work out at a gym full of equipment, or, you just have a yoga mat at home - we’ll hook you up with a plan you actually enjoy, and, can be consistent with.
2. VIDEO EXERCISE DEMO LIBRARY
You’ll never worry if you’re doing an exercise wrong, because each exercise comes with a video demo to show you exactly how to do it right.
3. DIRECT SUPPORT & ACCOUNTABILITY FROM MACKLEN
I'll hold your hand every step of the way. If you get stuck on an exercise, or, you're feeling down that day - you can always message me through the TrueCoach app for support.
4. ACCESS TO THE STRONG CLUB FACEBOOK GROUP
Stay in touch with the other Club Members. It's a private space where we share our wins, struggles, recipes and big questions. Accountability, community, and fitness.
The FB Group is where we post our post-workout celebration pics or your posture pics, if you're feeling brave.
You're a part of a team when you're in Strong Club. The more people clapping for you, the further you'll go.
PRICING
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
If you're working out at-home instead of in a gym, I will recommend you buy a few pieces of equipment. It won't cost you more than $100 (and it'll last a lifetime). If you prefer to start out with bodyweight exercises, we can do that for you.
Once you're registered for Strong Club, you'll fill out an assessment form so I can fully understand your fitness goals and give you specific recommendations on equipment.
No, you don't need a gym membership. Quite a few Strong Club members do 100% of their workouts from home.
Do the workouts on any day that suits you and your schedule.
If the "Tuesday workout" doesn't get done until Friday, that's okay. If you do the MWF workouts on Friday, Saturday & Sunday instead - do it!
Plus, you can always go back and complete any missed workouts. They're archived for you.
If you want to incorporate weight training into your routine, I recommend doing just 2-3 lifting sessions per week. That way you can have a consistent routine but keep the things you really love to do at the forefront.
